wanted to give all the paintings in my ‘Farmer’s Market Garden’ collection quirky names that played on common phrases and garden puns. This piece pairs the classic “tomato/tomaahto” line with a Taylor Swift lyric (something you’ll find often in my painting names, if you’re paying attention). I chose “I’ll sue you if…” because we have struggled immensely with garden pests (rabbits and squirrels, I’m looking at you!) this summer to the point where I do find myself yelling and chasing them out of my yard in anger. SO there you have it. the story behind a very long name for a very small painting.
